This new building is the first Bay Area location for the owners’ successful bridal salon business. 

ALA provided a complete range of services on the project: navigating a complex design review and permitting process; assembling and coordinating with a consultant team; and engaging with a general contractor on budget and construction issues. These included removal of an existing 1-story building that occupied the lot; careful treatment of the structure on the adjacent lot; and difficult below-grade conditions.

A primary goal of the project was to create a luxurious and enticing shopping environment. To that end, the building features natural stone and textured plaster finishes outside; durable tile, dark-stained stair treads, and Caesarstone and marble countertops continue the material palette inside. Leasable space on the second floor can be reclaimed into the store for future expansion.
